Sherman firefly was produced with the same mechanic that the “normal” Sherman but not by the American by the British. The Britons were in a more difficult position because they had less man less tanks and could in difference by the American , the Canadian and the Soviet Union hade a large number of tank and thank destroy so they wisely decide to compline their Ordnance Quick-Firing 17-pounder with a tank with rather easy mechanic that was the only one that could perforate the Tiger I and was so precise to aim at the weak spot of the Panther. The other German tank nad tank destroyer were not a match for this machinery. After war world 2 it was use sporadically by the South African apartheid regime and by several group in Lebanon. The Italian cobelligerent royal  used it in all the end of the campaign having excellent result against the fascist and the remaining  Panzer division and they were suppose to be used in second line after war world 2. They could also be used by the Argentinian in the early 1980th after a series of tension against the Chilean government. History is a really difficult subject and we are all linked to it and what happen in war world 2 is still effective uss. The young generation has to know it and also to touch feel and amy be having a tour in this kind of machinery. I hope the project will interest you and I hope you will contribute to it.
