få filmer har lyckas att vara så mjuka men även så djup allvarliga som Welcome to Mwell. Den fotografi som presteras av C. Kim Miles är begråtande vackert och samma kan tyckas av den snabba och aktion likande klippningen av Jeremiah O'Driscoll. I centrum av berättelse finns en medelålders män som har blivit angripen i den idylliska små städer nära New York av några stycken neo nazister som har slagit honom blå och har även gjort så att han har tappat vilken som helst förmåga att kunna tala och skriva samt utöva hans yrket. Det är så att Mark Hogancamp blir den mest lidelsfulla till synnes svaga men även djupa roll som har spelas med små medel av  Steve Carell som skapar till sig själva en mer handlingskraft alter ego capten Hogar en amerikanska pilot under slut skede avd andra världskriget i Europa som har ockuperat bakom fiende linjär dem hemska och alltid närvarande fiende nazisterna en liten stad och där finns många oroväckande figurer några nazist dockor som i själva verket är dem nya nynazister. Kapten Hogar klär alltid kvinnor sko och han lever omriggande av kvinnor den kraftiga och krigiska ryska Anna som finns även i hans riktiga liv spelade av inget annat än Gwendoline Christie känd från Games of Throndes som visar hennes humor förmåga. Samma kan säga när mark möter Nicol hans dröm kvinnan spelade av Leslie Mann en skörd röd hårig skönhet som kommer närmare och närmare honom men som till slut slutar inte bra i förhalade med den reaktion med  Roberta spelade av Merritt Wever som är närmare Mark än alla andra. Den som är den stora fienden är Kurt Mayer spelade både i dockan en parad roll av Neil Jackson som är den perfekta boven i sagan. Det är en underbar roll . Samma kan sägas av den av dejan den onda rollen av  Deja Thoris spelade med stor charma av Diane Kruger- Det är en underbart roll som lyfter ytligare en underbart film.

A film on a tribe

The short film by Hubert Patynowski “Don’t change the subject” is a really good work that deals with the life of young rapper in our day Poland- They are living in block and they have no faith what so ever in a future and in the possibility of making a good life Norbert Serafin work as a DP is hard dirty an make the focus on a reality that is not glamour in wchich we see a tribe by the young rapper Mikolaj Kubacki that has a low criminality basis what they do forced shave a girl and maybe rape her and they put their video. It is a criminal hip hop style with a rather complicate language and things start to go bad when the male character Mikolaj Kubacki become arrested by the police that forced him to be a stick . The use of the editing is very good made motely by Aleksandra Idzikowska that succeed in giving two kind of perspective the one of Youtube and the really one. Krzysztof Cybulski an other youn guy become more and more against the main character and even his father is against him. We have had the fortune of meeting Hubert Patynowski at the Kinotecka film festival in Stockholm and have put some question to him

How did you get the idea of making this movie?

I grow up in one place like this and for me it was really important to be able to tell their story. Not all the people that live in the block has this kind of problem and live this kind of life but it is quite common indeed. This make a place with a lot of drama a tension and in which there is a particular kind of culture the tuff Polish rap hip hop. It isn’t all that music style that is similar to this but there are I was mostly interest in the kind of moral dilemma that was present between the father and the son. We have to rember that the father isn’t a professional actor but only a guy that has had minor extra rolles. The moral dilemma is for me central how to survive and take one’s own responsibility.

Can you see this movie as a political statmant?

Yes or no more no because it is mostely a movie on a dirty and difficult reality shoot in this way. I had a a main influence that is the pusher trilogy by the Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn that I try to be inspired in the work with the cameran. It is for me important to show this reality from the inside.

The sceen is very masculine?

Yews it is true but unfortunately even if they are the femel raper in Poland haven’t be so important and so successful. There is few woman also in my film but I wanted to focus of the moral dilemma and I made few charather to work in it.

What about the casting?

It was really difficult because I had problem finding some one that wanted to play a stick and I had several contact with guys that studied at the Lodz film school but they often said no to this. But in the end I get them.

What about the shotting ?

As natural as possible with black magic in Krakow ,and Warsaw an in some other place.

Your next plan?

It isa more styles film about the searching of love on internet.

A really great small movie

Maria Wider the new star of polish cinema

The movie With me by the young polish director maria Wider is a reall masterpiece. It is the difficult story by Sandra portrait by Malgorzata Gorot that is going to have a baby that will be born with several kind of health problem. She is together with the rather not serious Dawid really well play by Julian Swiezewski. Their life is going to be destroy by this abortion that may be they don’t want. The cinematographic language is really simple but also very sophisticate Like the best of Angerliza Holand and ken Loach film but much bather with a simple but really powerful photography done with a Azela in a work that is for me one of the best short movie ever.

One  It was a really simple and powerful story that was real moving it

How did you get the idea and what about it?

It was my diploma with quite of a rusher that we deal in social important stuff. I always tend t make a movie close to me I start to think about a social subject a debate of cancelling of legal abortion. You can make in 3 case I was complicate I find contact with this woman at it become really personal and important. Now when I see this I was affect by their story.

They come to the hospital and work a lot with woman that are going to abortion?

First I stated to read a internet forum and gave the hospital with is possible a lot of doctor don’t want to perform it you cannot have an abortion about it. It is to late to do it. It become harder and harder. Woman made a society and I wrote about it it was really bald. I start to have a really long message there is not much space about it. They gave me even not uch a woman Aga told me about a relationship by a boyfriend that after reject it. I made the idea of a more personal and may be romantic movie with couple that get even stronger

It is a valuable film about abortion are you taking it aboard the message about this topic?

I wasn’t thinking about a message this is tragedy about it people use the slow about this case and people are having a dilemma about it without all the political stuff. But what you do about this and I had to know the project

Can you tell uss about your work and the future plan?

I just finish my second short movie I want to explore several fells. I made a comedy thriller I really want to explore about thing that are important for me. And I have to have a personal attachment.

What kind of area

About the use of surrealism

I would like to make more surrealism but I couldn’t find place for this in this movie.

The doctor said he had to walk is it true ?

It is so they have all this kind of way after you sepal you have to walk actually is quite common that the baby comes out when the woman is visiting the toilet

How is it possible to have other people watch it , it is a really hard movie?

Few people watch it mostly festival audience and some experience I wouldn’t be eger to see it myself of netfix it is really not pleasant to see it

How is with distribution?

It isn’t my movie it is in position about my film school many people don’t watch it there. It change it not so much. Peole see it as they want to see it.

Have you have negative feel back people don’ want to think?

Abortion is in rape case they killing and the handicap feal. Is legal but it is hard some doctor don’t want to do it. I only get some good feel back I didn’t want to make value on that

Watching for the male you don’t find man at all in this movie you present a man?

It struck me how hard is it to have a man you cannot make it easier for you it is a tragical in an other way

Tyvärr är Farhad Safinia  en riktig besvikelsen trots den utmärka fortgrafi av Kasper Tuxen och en mycket vackert och bra klippningen av Dino Jonsäter en filmen med många problem även om det lyckas mycket väl att skapa känslan frö en tid den positivistiska viktorianska 1870 talet när för ett krigs trauma den hård kocka veteranen en före detta militär läkaren Gibon spelade av Sean Penn  mördar en helt oskyldig människan och döms till et brotts psykiatrisk anstalt innan Freud. Det är en vanlig Sean Pean roll med ett känslan till att vara så överspelade som möjlighet och är ett ganska osannolik karaktär precis som den självlärde akademiker James Murray spelade av Mel Gibsson som är mycket svårt griplig han är en intressant karaktär av folklig ursprung som har arbeta sig upp med hjälp av fru Alda spelade av Jennifer Ehle som visar en bild av en familjer idyll som är inte den svåra relationen av Gibson som är paranoisk eftersom han är ständigt hemsökt av flera spöke från hans tidigare liv. Gibson och pen är sällan inne i rollerna och visar tydligt tecken på att det som dem vill göra och kunna åstadkomma är i själva verket en form av samtala gamla vänner emellan. Gibon blir hela tiden dragen till Elsa Marett den arbetar kalss hustru proletär i den form att hon är rik av massor av andra människor barn spelade av Natalie Dormer . Visligen är denna en av dem alla bästa skådespelerskor i hela världen men grace skönhet behag och ett enorm utsållning men hon är helt och håligt fel kvinnan vid fel plats under fel tillfället. Det är en person som passar inte i bilden och visligen gör ingenting fel men även ingenting rätt och samma kan tyckas av två andra skådespelaren chefen till vakterna Maurice spelade av Eddie Marsan som är helt otrovärdigt och samma kan sägas av Steve Coogan i egenskap av lawkarft mentor till Murray som är en lite komisk gestalt som får mig känns helt fel på alla sätt och vis och blir aldrig intressant eftersom det är en adels för lite och icke segande roll. När det gäller bövar det finns visligen dem avundsjuka akademiker Philip Lyttelton Gell spelade utan större engagemang från Laurence Fox och den karikatyr aktiva Jeremy Irvine . Det som är filmens stora belåtenhet är onekligen den enda riktiga viktorianska boven överförståndaren från anstalten Diktor Bryan Stephen Dillane  . Precis som när han spelade Stanis denna män lyckas att spela en ond svårt och inte minst mångsidig hård män skicklig artig men hård och endast intrasslad att föra fram sina modeller först den trevliga och sen den hårda med lobotomier och tortyr. Det är denna gestalt som räddar en annans kalkon likande film.
